Nexans Foundation

Established in early 2013, the Nexans Foundation aims to support the development of electrification in disadvantaged communities worldwide, with a focus on grassroots partnerships and sustainable solutions.

Why a foundation?

Nexans became the first player in the cable industry to establish a Corporate Foundation to work for the public interest.

The creation of the Nexans Foundation emerged as a natural evolution of the Group's commitment to professionalize international initiatives in this field toward a common perspective. Since its inception, it has sought to provide access to energy for disadvantaged populations, thereby contributing to their human, social, environmental, and economic development.

The Foundation has three main missions:

1. Support sustainable electrification projects aimed at reducing energy insecurity and poverty worldwide.
2. Promote training and education for populations in technical, energy, and environmental fields.
3. Provide support for environmental projects related to electrification issues, such as climate change, energy efficiency, and the protection of resources and biodiversity.
